We’re here to promote and encourage participation in the amateur sport of rowing, based in the communities of Flushing & Mylor. Our boathouse is on Trefusis Road, Flushing, TR11 5UB. And we row from the main Flushing Beach, beside Kiln Quay.
New rowers are always welcome. Whether you are looking to take up rowing for social reasons, want to get out on the water and make the most of our coastline or if you’ve got a desire to get involved in gig racing. We have members, young and old, who regularly use our boats.
If you’ve never rowed before, then take advantage of the British Rowing Learn2Row scheme. We are one of the few clubs in the local area to offer this, and we think it gives you the best introduction to rowing. Please contact our newcomers organiser, Sarah King (via the email link below) to get you signed up!
The Learn2Row course covers safety, clothing and equipment, technique and terminology and is delivered by experienced members of the club and you automatically get three months registration of British Rowing.
We charge £30 for a minimum of six one-and-a-half hour sessions at the end of which you gain a ‘Learn To Row Passport’ which is transferable between equivalent fixed seat clubs. £10 covers British Rowing registration and the Passport.
After completing the course, if you decide you want to apply for membership, you will receive one month’s discount off your subscription.
It’s almost free! 😊🚣♀️
