Have a go: We offer one free session to see if you want to explore gig rowing more fully.
What next: If you decide that you would like to progress we are the only gig club that offer a British Rowing ‘Explore Rowing Learn to Row Scheme’ This covers Safety, clothing and Equipment, Technique and Terminology and is delivered by experienced members of the club and you automatically get 3 months membership of British Rowing.
Cost: We charge £25 for 6 one and a half hour session at the end of which you gain a ‘Learn To Row Passport’ which is transefable between equivalent club. £10 covers British Rowing registration and the Passport.
Membership: After completing the course if you decide you want to apply for membership you will receive a £15 discount off your subscription.

Facilities: We have a brand new gig storage shed, paid for by an ‘Inspired Facilities’ grant from Sport England where we store our gigs. This also has a mezzanine floor for storing ergoes which can be used by club members. We also have access to a beach storage shed where we store our oars
Gigs: We have 3 wooden gigs, one of which is kept off site for racing, and two which are kept in our boat shed. We also have 2 Plastic training gigs which have been purchased through an ‘Explore rowing’ funded project in partnership with Truro and Penwith College.
Skiff and Flash boats: These are stored in the beach as well and are use to introduce our juniors, 8 – 15 year olds, to rowing. Adult club members also have access through additional training, to these boats.
