Coxing course passes

Well done to Kim, Carolyn and Tommy for passing their Level 1 FMPGC Coxing Course under the expert eyes of Penny Chuter and Ali Johns.

Whilst the conditions were ultimately horrendous on the “practical day” and getting worse, it was a good lesson to everyone to monitor how the wind gradually increased from calm to a good Force 6 by the time we finished, and how the waves increased in height and the seas became more turbulent literally as we watched.

This is why it is so import to know the weather forecast and to be aware of what the tide is doing!

Also, a big ‘thank you’ to Jeremy, Carol, Polly, and most of all Justin, for not only volunteering your time, but also for turning out in such horrendous conditions.
