18th out of 83 – the best result FMPGC ladies have had at Newquay!
Super rough conditions for our ladies A who were the final heat on Saturday. Big seas, nasty chop and plenty of water breaking into the boat. They had to secure 1st or 2nd to go through and did it with style (2nd behind charlestown ladies – a formidable crew!).Sunday meant lots of heats crammed into one day as saturday finished early. Solid rowing getting better and more confident all the time took us to 18th overall. A superb result given the conditions and time the crew’s had to work together.
Thank-you to everyone for their messages of good luck and especially to those members who supported and helped us in person at Newquay this weekend….it certainly paid-off!
