With 75 crews taking part this year, draws took place the week before for the first round, with Ladies B first up in the fourth heat, rowing Azook. With each heat timed, the ladies came 5th with a time of 16.05, ensuring them a place in round two.

Ladies B were kitted out for the Championships by the Royal Standard Public House in Flushing John Ball, Cox of the Ladies B said they were both pleased and proud to be supported by the local establishment and thanked Cathy, Sue and Roger for their overwhelming support of the crew.

Next up in Ann Glanville were the Ladies A they finished in 16.12, also getting them into round two.

By the time of Ladies C heat, the wind had freshened and the sea picked up they completed their heat in Helford in 17.47 sadly not a fast enough time to get them through.

With a continued increase in wind and sea, second rounds were drawn and Ladies A finished their round in 18.37, with Ladies B in the following heat, this time rowing Catalina they finished in 20.02.  This left Ladies A to go through on Sunday morning to the quarter finals, where they finished 5th in their heat.

Overall provisional results for the ladies were A in 19th, B in =35th and C in 54th.
